Okay, I am 21 years of age and currently Unemployed, I have no insurance, and no money. I went to the hospital about two months ago, thinking I had an ear infection, they told me my ears where fine, but i might have TMJ, it has gotten worse since then, I can sleep, i get maybe 4 hours MAYBE on a good night, ice isnt helping anymore, I have called dentists, the last dentist i called said i need to see a orthopedic surgeon, i called and I need 500 bucks, just to be seen UPFRONT MONEY that I dont have, Is there anywhere i can find help to get my jaw fixed.
You might look into social services. They might be able to help you to find some kind of program that helps people with dental fees. Another option I've heard about is people getting dental treatment at the actual dental schools--it's cheaper 'cause it's done by a student trying to gain experience. Otherwise, I guess I would ask around at different places if any take payment plans. (The only problem is the fact you're unemployed, so I don't see them taking you up on this.)
