Dentistry is mostly associated with regular 6 month checkups and general cleaning. Even though this is considered to be the easiest and the dental treatments with the least amount of work involved it is probably the most important of all dentistry treatments.

General cleaning of the teeth is probably the most important part of all the treatments, a dentist can get to places in your mouth that you would struggle to clean. They can also guide you in how to keep an optimum mouth cleanliness and how to brush your teeth effectively to remove all plaque.

Would having any metal dental-work in your mouth interfere with an MRI?
I've always wondered about this. I have a wire cemented to the back of my lower front teeth to keep them in place (had braces years ago, so the wire acts as an out-of-the-way retainer), and I've often wondered what might happen if I went into an MRI with this thing in my mouth. Which metal is generally used for orthopedics?
Basically, I'm asking if an MRI would be capable of pulling the wire our of my mouth.
No. Your teeth would be just fine. But when you and your doctor went over the images you would see a whitened out area around any metal in or on your body. It would look like the sun reflecting off a shiny surface.
